No To Violence Conference Resources now available
The No To Violence Conference on Responses to Men’s Domestic and Family Violence: Experience, Innovations and Emerging Directions, was held in Melbourne during November 2012. This was one of the best conferences in the family violence sector I had attended in a very long time. In addition to a rich tapestry of practice ideas across a range of themes, there was robust debate in finding workable solutions to the complexities we now all recognise exist when intervening with family violence. A big thanks tot he team from NTV who have taken the next step in making the presentations available for those who could not attend and for those of who missed sessions to catch up on them. What is particularly exciting to me is that the conference resources are now being published.
A range of resources are being produced – articles, transcripts, presentations and audio files – to benefit all family violence practitioners and policy workers, not only those who attended the conference. Workshop titles and details have been grouped under the following themes:
- Integrated responses
- Parner contact
- Indigenous FV
- Justice and Police
- Children’s needs
- Prevention
- Sexualised violence
- Men’s behaviour change
- Adolescent violence
- Practitioners
- CALD FV
- Rural Settings
